This program is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills needed to safely and effectively operate a skid steer. The program introduces participants to the different components, controls, and functions of a skid steer, as well as safety procedures and best practices for operating the machine.

The program begins with a comprehensive overview of the parts of a skid steer, including the frame, engine, drive system, and attachments. Participants will learn how the different components work together to provide power and manoeuvrability to the machine. The course then covers the basic operating controls of a skid steer, including the steering wheel, accelerator, brake, and auxiliary control levers.

Next, learners will be introduced to the safety procedures and protocols associated with skid steer operation. Participants will learn about important safety considerations, such as wearing the proper personal protective equipment, keeping their hands and feet away from the machine's rotating parts, and avoiding hazardous terrain.

The program culminates with a hands-on training session in which learners will practice operating a skid steer in a safe, controlled environment. During this session, participants will gain experience manoeuvring the machine in various types of terrain, loading and unloading cargo, and operating the various attachments.

At the end of the program, participants will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the components, controls, and safety procedures associated with skid steer operation. They should also be able to operate the machine in a safe and effective manner.
